Using the concept of lengths of snakes, I used jelly snakes alongside these activities to engage the children, activities to encourage children to find the difference between two lengths. For lower achieving pupils is an activity for them to use non standard units to compare the lengths of the snakes. A Shrek doubling and halving board game as an opportunity for your children to consolidate their understanding of doubling and halving in a fun and engaging way. I have used two levels of this game, for the lower ability children they have less on their board game. When playing this, children work really well together supporting and encouraging each other.
